Answers to Common Questions

How do I maximize the life of my candle?

I'm so glad you asked! There are four sacred rules for burning soy candles:

1) Make sure you have a few hours when you burn your candle for the first time. You want it to melt all the way to the edge--this will prevent tunneling.

2) Keep wicks trimmed to 1/4 inch.

3) Do not burn a candle for more than four hours.

4) Discard when there's a half inch of wax remaining.

What should I do with my finished ReKindle candles?

An empty jar is simply a new candle waiting to happen. We have two easy ways to return your used candles: If you're local, you can schedule a pick-up. For our long-distance friends, request a free shipping label and send used candles back in your original order box. All customers that return used candles get 10% off on their next order.

I heard you offer free candle samples, is that true?

At ReKindle, we're pretty enthusiastic about spreading the reduce-reuse-recycle mindset. So, any person that makes a jar donation receives a free mini candle!

Whether you have old candle jars or food jars, we can breath new life into them. Schedule a local pickup or contact us for a free shipping label.

How do you turn old jars into new candles?

After jars are rescued, they go through a three-part cleaning process. First, they get a sanitizing wash in the dishwasher. Then, we remove any old labels and/or residue. Finally, they go through one final rigorous round of washing by hand, and then they’re ready to be remade into candles!

What is your return policy?

We stand behind our candles. If you're not happy with your order, contact us for a full refund or replacement.

Why are certain sizes out of stock?

Most of the jars we rescue tend to fall in the small or large category, so those are most plentiful in our available stock. If you're looking for a particular size, contact us about a custom order.
